Who is the set made for

The set is made for ages 7 and up and fans of the Jurassic World Dominion series. It includes 3 biosyn stickers for the off-road truck (one sticker for the hood and two stickers for the sides of the truck).

What’s Inside

There are 3 minifigures, 2 dinosaurs – a Pyroraptor and a Dilophorsaurus.

The pyroraptor dinosaur is a darker orange with spots and a hard textured tail. The dilophosaurus dinosaur is green with a lighter orange streak on its back and a flexible tail on the end. Both dinosaurs have moving jaws.
There is an off-road truck and a trailer which can hold one of the dinosaurs.
Two minifigures can sit inside the truck. The trailer sides come down and the trailer has a ramp in the back. The radar and gun rack comes out the back of the truck.

Notable building techniques

The truck roof comes off easily, using pearl dark gray ingot bars (gold bar) to hold into place.

The trailer is also designed for easy access to load the dinosaur similar in design to other LEGO Jurassic World dinosaur cages.

Unique features

This is the first set to include this version of the minifigure Dr. Ian Malcolm. It is also the first set to include the ACU guard. The Dilophosaurus can also be found in Dilophosaurus on the Loose set from 2019 while the Pyroraptor is new to this set.

Comparisons to other sets

The set is similar to LEGO’s Dilophosaurus Ambush set from 2023 and an earlier version from 2015 featuring a truck and a dinosaur.

Conclusion

The set is sturdy, especially the truck, and holds up for rough play. The truck was simplistic yet realistic, and the stickers added detail to its design. I would recommend the set only if you like the dinosaurs and the sturdiness of the truck. The set took approximately 45 minutes to build and is priced at 44.99 or .18 cents per piece. about the set

The LEGO Tails’ Workshop and Tornado Plane (76991) set was released in August 2023 as part of the start of the Sonic the Hedgehog LEGO line. The set has 376 pieces. It includes 2 minifigures and 2 other Sonic characters.

Packaging

The box does a good job of showing how the set can be played with. The final build resembles the play on the box. The set came with four bags. It has two instruction books, one for the dresser, chair, badnik, rings and plane and another for the workshop.

Comparisons to other sets

There are several other Sonic the Hedgehog sets released by LEGO, some designed for play and a TAILS brickheadz for display. When Tails’ Workshop and Tornado Plane was released it was the only one to include both Sonic and Tails minifigures together.

Conclusion

The set is great for action playing as you can set up and go though the obstacle course catching rings before releasing clucky from badnik and then hang out at the workshop where you can use tools to repair the plane or care for rescued characters.

The Sonic minifigure is true to the character with his iconic hair and red sneakers. Tails is also true to character with his two tail and white fur design. The set is fairly sturdy and works well for heavy play and there are lots of options. I would recommend the set for play and for Adult lego fans who want to display characters and features from the sonic video game. I love the versatility of the set and the red, one-seater, biplane with an imprinted round fox tail emblem on the back. I think the plane is great for displaying and I like that the set feels like a real-life version of the video game with characters that keep the same features and lots of ways to recreate playing the game. The set took about two hours to build and is priced at 39.99 or 11 cents per piece. The set is available at LEGO.com
